THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE AND HAPPY GARDENING! HOMEGROWN VEGETABLES JUST TASTE BETTER! INCLUDES BASIC GROWING INSTRUCTIONS a quick note on seed storage… I feel through my experience the best way to store your seed is in the refrigerator. Some vegetable varieties produce seed that remains viable for many years (tomatoes) and others produce seed that does not store well under any conditions (onions). I believe seed stored under refrigerated conditions could last 10 years or more. I have just planted some ACE 55 seeds from 2000 this last summer 2017. They did great! Germination rates were in the 90% range and these seeds had been sitting in a box in my garage for the past 17 years! I have some of that seed available now listed as Marlboro Ace 55. GET SOME! At Frontier Farms, we specialize in many varieties of Heirloom tomatoes, peppers, plus many other vegetable varieties. WHAT IS AN HEIRLOOM? Heirloom plants are grown from seeds that have been handed down thru generations, saved from year to year, some varieties dating back hundreds of years. Many made the migration from Europe and the East with the immigrants coming to the USA. The seeds are never cross pollinated and so they remain true to their particular characteristics. Heirloom tomatoes come in all colors, shapes, and sizes ? Reds, Pinks, Yellows, Orange, White, Green, Striped, and Black. Ranging in sizes of cherry and grape to large grapefruit size, meaty, or juicy. WHY HEIRLOOM? These tomatoes are more natural, they are non GMO (genetically modified). They do not have as long of a shelf life as store bought tomatoes, but that is what makes them special. They have a real fantastic tomato flavor not found in grocery store offerings. These tomatoes are indeterminate (they grow all season, they flower all season and they produce tomatoes all season. They don?t stop until frost. Once heirloom tomatoes are picked, they do not have a long shelf life as hybrids but they more than make up for any shortcomings in flavor. Please see my other listings and my store for more great varieties and thank you!

Winged Bean Seeds. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Psophocarpus tetragonolobus. Annual. Winged bean is also known as Asparagus pea, Winged pea, Four Angled bean, Manila bean (sigarilyas), Princess bean, and Dragon bean. Plant when seeds sprout. Keep soil moist. Fertilize sparingly. Train to grow on a vertical support. Large vigorous vines can reach 9-12′. Harvest beans up to 3″ in length. High in protein and rich in vitamin A, C, calcium and iron.

Moss Sheet Feather Fresh Live Organic NOT Preserved Terrarium Vivarium Quart Bag

Offering a very full, quart size bag of Sheet/ Feather Moss~ Organic, Chemical Free Feather moss can be found growing on moist, shaded soil, stumps, rocks, and logs. Perfect for open or closed terrariums, living wreaths and floral arrangements, bonsai and Kokedama. I use Feather Moss to top all of my houseplants, adding aesthetic interest with the bonus of keeping the soil moist longer.   This beautiful moss looks like a blanket of lush, green, little tiny ferns. It is, quite literally,  harvested in “sheets”. Feather Moss is about a half inch thick, comes in various sheet sizes, and is easily torn or cut with scissors to form the shape you need. Because our mosses are collected in a manner that sustains and supports their growth, we try to keep their foundation as intact as possible. This means there may be a bit of soil, tree bark (seen in these pics) and other natural materials attached to your moss.  We have been bringing moss into our home for many years and have NEVER had a problem with insects. We would not, knowingly, pass along moss that was infested. But mother nature is unpredictable. One easy way to “sanitize” your moss is to place it in a lidded container with a cotton ball that has been sprayed with an insecticide. We recommend Pyrethrin- (Pyrethrums) are natural-botanical insecticides. We recommend Pyrethrin- (Pyrethrums) are natural-botanical insecticides. If, for whatever reason, you are not satisfied with your order~We guarantee a full refund or replacement order. Mosses are very hardy and require little maintenance. The varieties we offer, thrive in full to partial shade, damp soil, and love a light misting once a week. Tap water can vary in quality. We recommend distilled or purified spring water when caring for your moss. Thank you for checking out this listing 🙂

25 Vinca Minor Periwinkle Creeping Myrtle Perennial Evergreen Ground Cover

Vinca Minor Periwinkle Hardy Evergreen Ground Cover Plant Shrub 25+ Bare Root Plants Drought Resistant and a Fast and Easy Growing Spreading Plant. The Periwinkle flower (vinca minor) is most commonly grown as a form of ground cover; it is exceptional for preventing erosion. It grows best in growing zones 4 to 8. It is also referred to as creeping Vinca. It blossoms from April to May, and its blooms are a beautiful color. Their flowers are about one to two inches in diameter and funnel-shaped. Each flower has five flattened petals. The leaves range in size from 1 & 1/2 inches to 3 inches in length and are a shade of dark green. The leaves are oblong in shape and have a glossy appearance. They also can be propagated from stem cuttings that are collected anytime during the summer months. When planting new plants, space them six to twelve inches apart to prevent garden choking. There are over thirty types of vinca minor. It is known for spreading; once it is established in the desired location in your landscape, it requires minimal care. Periwinkle (Creeping Vinca) Is Drought Resistant and Grows Easily This herb has its ideal growing conditions in USDA Growing Zones 4 – 8 and reaches maximal heights of 6 inches tall. The plant grows horizontally more than vertically, however, with a maximum spread width of 18 inches at full maturity. In keeping with its perennial nature, the leaves of the Vinca minor are evergreen and grow throughout the year. The plant begins blooming in early May and reaches peak bloom by the end of June. Blooms of the Periwinkle are a light pastel lavender color and maintain a tube-like structure throughout the blooming season. Optimum growing conditions for the Vinca minor are composed of medium-moisture to dry soil beds, and the plant grows best underneath ample amounts of direct sunlight. However, even if direct sunlight is not present, the Periwinkle plant will grow efficiently in partly shaded environments, and it is versatile enough to grow in heavily shaded areas as well. Frequent uses of the Vinca minor include erosion control in heavily watered areas and normalizing the soil quality near the banks of rivers and streams. Please Read Note that most plants and trees are shipped DORMANT. They may or may not have foliage when received. Plant the tree soon after receipt, water well, and it will come to life in a few weeks or less. Many plants will be shipped in a small container with potting soil or peat moss and may be cut back (pruned) hard for shipping purposes. They too will spring to life in a short time. I have had many issues with buyers not reading the full description, then leaving negative feedback or threatening to leave negative feedback after receipt. Please refer to the photographs. The 4th photo is what your bundle might look like upon receipt. The plants may or may not have a visible root system. If the root end has pink and white coloring, it WILL root. The 5th photo is what 1 bundle will look like in 3-4 weeks when planted in potting soil in a trade gallon bucket. The 6th photo is a comparison of the difference a few weeks makes. Some buyers have put their Periwinkle in water to root and have had only limited success.I recommend to place the bundles in a pot with potting soil, water WELL and OFTEN, and place the pot(s) in a shady area. The plants will begin to thrive in a few weeks. You can then dump the pots and plant each vine where you desire. FREE shipping – Lower 48 U.S.A. only Please check out my other ebay auctions.
